CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The Ross County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a suspicious car fire.
It happened Monday evening in Chillicothe.
According to reports, 9-1-1 dispatch received multiple calls regarding a car on fire at 747 Marrietta Road in Chillicothe. Fire personnel, officials say, found the vehicle fully engulfed in flames upon arrival. Crews were able to extinguish the blaze as law enforcement began an investigation into the incident.
Deputies with the Sheriff’s Office said the fire was suspicious as the driver of the vehicle was not found at the scene.
The fire, authorities say, is being investigated as possible arson. The car was located near a local moving and storage company. No one was injured in the fire, and no other property was damaged according to deputies on the scene.
The case remains under investigation.
