ATHENS COUNTY, Ohio — Following a traffic stop, an Athens County woman was charged with felony drug trafficking.
According to Athens County Sheriff Rodney Smith, deputies, along with members of the South Central Ohio Major Crimes Unit, conducted a stop along Washington Road in Albany on Wednesday, January 19.
Reports say, law enforcement approached the driver and noticed what appeared to be methamphetamine inside the vehicle.
Lisa Creech, 61, of Albany, was detained while her vehicle was searched.
Several bags of suspected methamphetamine, as well as drug paraphernalia, and other items related to drug trafficking were seized, the Sheriff said.
Creech now faces felony possession of drugs, and drug trafficking charges. She was transported to the Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail pending arraignment.
