COLUMBUS, Ohio– A Columbus landlord is in trouble with the law after reportedly stabbing their tenant.
Police were called to the area of 200 Whitethorne Avenue in Columbus shortly before 9 a.m. Sunday, February 6.
According to reports, officers arrived on the scene and found the victim bleeding from an apparent stab wound.
A witness reported to police that the victim’s landlord, only referred to as J. C. Z., had gone to the residence and attempted to shut off the water to the home.
Reports say the landlord and tenant argued and began fighting.
J. C. Z., police say, stabbed the victim once in the side with a cutting tool before fleeing. The landlord has been charged with felonious assault.
The victim was treated by EMS for their injuries.
