SCIOTO COUNTY, Ohio — The Ohio Highway Patrol announced the seizure of over $100,000 worth of methamphetamine.
According to the Patrol, troopers initiated a traffic stop in Scioto County on February 2.
Officials say a 2008 Lincoln Navigator driven by 31-year-old Jessica McCormick of Huntington, West Virginia, was stopped along Route 823 for a signal violation.
It was at that time, troopers say, criminal indicators were noticed and a canine unit was dispatched to the scene.
After a brief investigation, and with the help of the drug-sniffing canine, nearly 3 pounds of methamphetamine was discovered.
Arrested was the driver Jessica McCormick and her passenger, 29-year-old, Dakota Kliber, also of Huntington.
The two were arrested and charged with felony drug possession and trafficking. If convicted both McCormick and Kliber could spend the next two decades behind bars.
