WILMINGTON, Ohio — More rain is in store for the Scioto Valley, and the threat of additional flooding continues, according to the National Weather Service.
Flood Watches have been issued across southern Ohio as more rain is forecasted to fall Monday evening through Tuesday night.
Forecasters with the weather service say thunderstorms and 1 to 2 inches of rain will be possible.
The Scioto River across the region remains at or near flood stage. Experts warn that additional rainfall will cause river flooding across the area.
Residents near flood-prone areas should continue to monitor current conditions and be prepared to evacuate if needed.
