CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — A fire shortly after midnight on Wednesday had Bridge Street closed.
It occurred at Pixelle Speciality Solutions — the town’s paper mill — in the area where wood chips are kept, according to officials. It was believed that a cargo belt of some kind might have been the origin of the inferno.
Police closed down Bridge Street to allow fire trucks access to the area.
The blaze was intense at first, but was quickly subdued, officials reported. No serious injuries were reported and the cause of the fire was not immediately released.
