ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — Law enforcement in Ross County was involved in a high-speed pursuit on Saturday evening. 

According to reports, troopers with the Ohio Highway Patrol notified the Ross County Sheriff’s Office of a reckless driver around 11:00 p.m. on Route 35.

When troopers attempted to stop the driver, they fled from law enforcement at a high rate of speed. 

The suspect continued on Route 35 westbound before fleeing onto County Road 550. Troopers said speeds along the dark country back road reached more than 100 miles per hour. 

The driver continued to flee before the chase was discontinued near Ragged Ridge Road.

Shortly before midnight, deputies located the car involved, abandoned along Route 138 near Frankfort. 

Authorities say a search of the immediate area yielded no clues to the suspect’s location.
