WASHINGTON COURT HOUSE, Ohio — The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office released the identity of the person found dead in a field on Saturday evening.
Around 7:30 p.m., the sheriff’s office received a call from a local farmer about the discovery of a body in the 2000 block of Route 753.
According to Sheriff Vernon Stanforth, “[my] office was contacted concerning the discovery of a body and, upon deputies arriving on scene, confirmed the discovery of an unidentified deceased male.” The sheriff went on to say, “The Fayette County Coroner was summoned to the scene and conducted a joint investigation.”
The man was identified as Harrison K. C. Conaway IV, 35, of Washington Court House.
Authorities say there is no evidence of foul play.
Court records show Harrison Conaway had recently been released from prison. According to the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections, Conaway was wanted for a parole violation.
The investigation into his death continues, officials said.
