CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Three suspects managed to get away early Saturday morning in Ross County.
It happened at around 2:25 a.m. after a high-speed chase.
The Highway Patrol tried to pullover a vehicle that didn’t have a license plate. That’s when two people jumped out and the driver took off. Troopers gave chase to the vehicle, snaking throughout Harrison and Liberty townships.
Eventually, the car ended up on a back gravel road that led into Tar Hallow State Park. Once there, the driver managed to evade troopers long enough to ditch the vehicle without being seen.
Troopers called in a K9 from Chillicothe, but were not successful in locating the driver. The vehicle involved, however, was reported stolen out of Fairfield County.
The two people who jumped out earlier were not found, either.
Due to weather, a police helicopter could not assist in a search and the scene was cleared.
