ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — Route 23 southbound near Eastern Avenue in Chillicothe is currently shut down due to a serious crash.
Initial reports say multiple people were involved in a collision between a car and a tractor-trailer, including one possible fatality. According to the Ross County Sheriff’s Office, an infant was among the injured.
The call came in shortly before 10:00 a.m.
Multiple fire and rescue crews were dispatched to the area. The names of those involved and the extent of any injuries were not immediately released.
Officials say traffic is being diverted to Eastern Avenue as crews work to clear the scene.
