Circleville firefighters battle structure fire within the city

CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — Firefighters responded to the 300 block of East Mound Street in the city of Circleville Sunday evening on reports of a structure fire.

The call came in shortly before 10:00 p.m.

Multiple fire departments responded to the scene to battle the blaze.

Initial reports say the resident of the home was evacuated. Red Cross was requested to the area to help those displaced.

Officials say the home was a total loss.

The cause of the fire was not immediately released. The incident remains under investigation.
