CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Officers from the Chillicothe Police Department with deputies from the Ross County Sheriff’s Office were involved in a foot chase near Walmart in Chillicothe.
Around 2 p.m. officials with the Chillicothe Police asked for deputies to assist in responding to a reported theft.
According to initial reports, a female subject then fled from law enforcement.
The female, latter identified as Samantha Hammond, led officers on a foot pursuit near the Scioto Riverbank close to the shopping center.
She was arrested and taken into custody on multiple outstanding warrants
