PIKE COUNTY, Ohio— Firefighters responded to the area of Long’s Retreat Monday afternoon on a fire involving a camper.
According to reports, a refrigerator inside one of the campers had caught fire, causing an explosion.
Emergency personnel rushed to the scene to battle the blaze located on Overlook Drive near the permanent campsites.
Two campers according to residents were destroyed in the fire and several others were damaged.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
According to their website, Long’s Retreat is a family-friendly location with “over 400 acres, permanent camping, cabins, swimming, go-karts, waterslides, carousel, arcade, and mini-golf.
