CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — According to reports, officers with the Chillicothe Police Department went to the Lincoln Park Apartment Complex on Sunday to arrest a man with an outstanding warrant.
Reports say 51-year-old Todd Shaeffer, once police arrived, attempted to flee out the back door of the apartment but was quickly taken into custody.
Inside the residence was multiple individuals, including two men from Columbus. 25-year-old Jamire Jones was also arrested on an outstanding warrant. Police searched Jones, where they found a baggie filled with cocaine.
Police on the scene advised the tenant that they would contact the court and gain a search warrant for the apartment.
One resident told police that a third person was upstairs of the residence. Police made their way to the second floor, when reports say officers heard a loud crash. Officers found 27-year-old Isaiah Pinskton attempting to jump from the second-story bedroom window.
According to police, Pinkston leaped from the window, leading officers on a foot pursuit. He was arrested near the 200 block of Mechanic Street. Officials say additional suspected narcotics were found on him.
The tenant of the apartment consented to a search. During which, officers seized multiple prescription pills, two large bags of suspected narcotics, a loaded 9mm handgun, and other items, police say, were indicative of narcotics trafficking.
All three individuals were transported to the Ross County Jail, where they remain in custody.
