ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — Hundreds of residents are in the dark this evening as severe storms barrel through the Scioto Valley.
According to South Central Power, over 700 homes in the Ross County area have lost power.
Officials with the power company say the majority of the outages are being reported near the Bainbridge area.
The company’s outage map shows a restoration time around 8 p.m.
Other areas experiencing outages include nearly 300 homes in northeastern Pickaway County and over 100 customers in Hocking County.
AES in Fayette County is reporting nearly 500 homes without power near Jeffersonville.
Residents are reminded to stay clear of any downed power lines.
