NEW YORK CITY, New York — The man accused of opening fire on a New York subway last month now faces federal charges.

62-year-old Frank James was indicted on Friday for “committing a terrorist attack on a mass transit system,” according to the New York Post.

James allegedly was the person responsible for shooting 10 people during the rush-hour commute.

Legal experts say that if he is convicted, James could spend the rest of his life behind bars.
