CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Medics responded to the 200 block of North Bridge Street Wednesday morning after 9-1-1 dispatch received a call regarding a gunshot victim.
According to initial reports, officers with the Chillicothe Police and medics from the city responded to the residence shortly after 10:30 a.m.
Medics on the scene requested a medical helicopter to transport the victim to a Columbus area trauma center.
The Guardian could not independently confirm the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
No further details were released by officials at the time of this publication.
UPDATE: Witnesses told the Guardian that the gunshot was self-inflicted.
