ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — A Frankfort man is currently wanted after officials say he failed to appear for his trial.
72-year-old Lowell W. Earles was indicted in 2018 on ten counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor under 16.
According to court documents, Earles was allegedly involved with the minor back in 2015.
He was arrested following the indictment and given a $50,000 bond.
Earles was scheduled for trial in January 2020 but was continued numerous times.
His trial was slated to begin this week, but according to the Ross County Court of Common Pleas, Earles failed to appear for a status conference.
The Ross County Prosecutor’s Office says a warrant for his arrest has been issued.
Lowell W. Earles could be sentenced to 30 years in prison if convicted.
