CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The Ross County Sheriff’s Office is investigating threats made by a high school student at Unioto.

According to reports, a student at the high school made comments, threatening to bring a gun to school and engage in a mass shooting.

In a one-call announcement from the district Superintendent, Matthew Thornsberry, he said, “I wanted to inform parents that the high school received reports of a potential incident involving a student making threats.”

He went on to say, “We responded immediately by contacting law enforcement and cooperated fully. The situation has been resolved and we appreciate the responsiveness and assistance of the law enforcement.”

The Ross County Sheriff’s Office has not released any additional details regarding the incident.
