UVALDE, Texas — Texas Governor Greg Abbott says 14 students and one teacher were killed in an elementary school shooting.
According to ABC News, the shooter has been identified as an 18-year-old student at Uvalde High School in Uvalde, Texas.
Governor Abbott said during a media press conference, “He shot and killed horrifically and incomprehensibly 14 students and killed a teacher.”
The school shooter was reported as deceased.
Authorities say the suspect, prior to entering Robb Elementary School this afternoon, shot his grandmother before turning his sights on the elementary school.

Update: Officials now say the death toll has risen to 21. 19 children and 2 adults. The suspect was killed by law enforcement.
