CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Chillicothe Police Officers assisted in tracking down a couple that attempted to flee from detectives.

25-year-old Autalee Corcoran and 38-year-old Joshua Thomas were the suspects in an alleged shooting that occurred in January.

Officers with the police department responded to Sherman Park after Autalee ran from two Chillicothe Detectives.

Officers searched a residence on King Street near the apartment complex and located Autalee hiding under a bed. She was wanted on a failure to appear warrant.

At the same time, reports say, Joshua Thomas was located walking in the area and took off running when spotted by detectives. Thomas had a warrant for his arrest also for failure to appear.

Detective and officer pursued Joshua Thomas before locating him hiding behind a tree near Ervin Avenue.

Police say, upon searching Thomas a baggie of an unknown white substance was located.

Officers said in their report that the substance is believed to be illegal drugs. The baggie was seized and then sent to the BCI lab for analysis.

Both individuals were taken to the Ross County Jail.
