NORMAN, Oklahoma — The Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Oklahoma has placed the Scioto Valley under a slight risk for severe weather today.

According to meteorologists, a line of possible severe storms will push across the area during the late afternoon and evening events. 

Forecasters suggest the possibility of a widespread damaging wind event. 

According to NWS, “An initial round of storms may develop in Indiana this afternoon. If this occurs, storms are expected to move into eastern Indiana after 4 p.m. and track east-southeast through southern Ohio and northern Kentucky, exiting the region by 10 p.m.”

Residents should have multiple ways to receive severe weather alerts.
