ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — A man was arrested on Thursday in Ross County and told law enforcement that the drugs in his pocket were fake.
Noah Richards was arrested on an arrest warrant for robbery by task force agents on 4th Street in Chillicothe. Agents said a baggie of white crystal powder was located in Richards’ right pants pocket during a pat down prior to a transport to the jail.
“That’s fake,” Richards allegedly said when the baggie was removed from his pocket and placed on top of the cruiser.
Agents said the suspected drugs weighed approximately 32 grams and was packaged in a small clear baggie. Police said a field test was completed on the substance and tested for methamphetamine.
