ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — Multiple law enforcement agencies were involved in a manhunt Friday morning in Ross County. A call came in around 6 a.m. about an automobile accident involving a stolen car along Route 28.
According to initial reports, troopers with the Ohio Highway Patrol were investigating the crash when two juveniles involved ran from the scene.
A canine unit from the Chillicothe Police Department and deputies from the Ross County Sheriff’s Office were sent to assist.
One of the fleeing suspects, officials said, was a female, wearing a white hoodie. No description was given by law enforcement of the second suspect at the time.
Shortly before 7 a.m., the juveniles were spotted by deputies running through a cornfield near the highway.
The juveniles eventually surrendered to authorities. Both were evaluated by medics before being taken into custody.
