CHILLICOTHE, Ohio— Medics and firefighters responded to South Sugar Street in the city of Chillicothe around 1:30 p.m. after a 9-1-1 caller said a tree had fallen on their house.
According to initial reports from first responders, a large tree crashed through the residence, knocking down power lines in its wake. The tree also landed atop an SUV.
Minor injuries were reported in the incident.
A strong thunderstorm ripped through the Scioto Valley on Saturday afternoon, leaving thousands without power.
County officials throughout the area have called in crews to help clear roadways due to multiple downed trees and limbs.
