CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Looking for a fun, family-friendly event? This afternoon, starting at 4 p.m., residents across the Chillicothe area can participate in the “National Night Out.” The community event will take place in Yoctangee Park and will run through 8 p.m. featuring a large water fight, food trucks, vendors, touch-a-truck, and games.

This event is put on by the Chillicothe Professional Firefighters Local 300, Chillicothe Fire Department, and the Chillicothe Police Department.

Organizers for the “Water Wars: National Night Out” say there will be several water balloons, super soakers, and a fire truck that will be spraying water.

“This will be the most epic water war Chillicothe has seen,” said one representative of the event.

Several community businesses and organizations will also be participating with free giveaways.
