NATIONAL — Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (also known as Food Stamps) recipients in multiple states across the nation are experiencing a temporary service outage.

According to reports, SNAP EBT systems in several states, including Ohio, are unable to process payments.

SNAP is a program through the United States Department of Agriculture that provides nutrition benefits to needy families.

The USDA has not released an official cause of the outage, or when residents will be able to resume using their benefits.
