PIKE COUNTY, Ohio — The Community Action Committee of Pike County (CAC) will be hosting the annual Halloween Trunk-or-Treat event on Thursday, October 27th from 5:00 – 7:00 pm in the multi-purpose building at the Pike County Fairgrounds (311 Mill Street) in Piketon.
This is a no-cost event for the community to attend to enjoy a fun event with this year’s theme being “Hocus Pocus Community Focus” inspired by the classic holiday film that shares the name. There will be candy and snacks for children and valuable information about the resources and programs available to area residents from the CAC and supporting partners. There will also be a haunted maze attraction for children to enjoy and even the Sanderson Sisters running amuck.
“The success of last year’s Trunk-or-Treat Event was so inspiring to our staff seeing how many people we were able to reach with information about the available resources we offer, that we knew that this event was going to become an annual event for the Agency,” stated Keith Pitts, Executive Director of the Community Action Committee of Pike County.
In addition to the Agency Programs, the partnering organizations of the Agency will be participating in this event to highlight their support services as well. Last year’s Trunk-or-Treat Treat event brought out over 300 people to participate despite the rainy weather. This year’s event will offer indoor and outdoor activities.
This event is open to the public and requires no cost to attend. The event begins at 5:00 pm. For more information, please contact the OhioMeansJobs Career Center at (740) 289-2371 or visit workforcebusinessdevelopment.org. Follow us on Facebook for up-to-date information.
