NEWARK, Ohio — The Newark Police Department says two teens were arrested over the weekend after threatening to shoot a customer at a local Mcdonald’s restaurant.

According to reports, a teen wearing a ski mask threatened to shoot a customer at the fast-food establishment. The victim, officials said, provided responding officers with a description of the vehicle and a license plate number.

The vehicle was located by police. Following a traffic stop, officers discovered marijuana, items related to drug trafficking, and a ski mask. A search of the occupants, police say, revealed a 9mm handgun and ammo in the waistband of one of the teens.

Authorities say the driver and passenger were taken into custody.
