POLK COUNTY, Florida — A criminal duo has been arrested in Florida after authorities say, the two called 9-1-1 dispatchers to get help with moving items from the home they had just robbed.
According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a residence over the weekend. Reports state that deputies entered and found a couple inside the home. The male subject, the sheriff’s office said, was wanted for a suspected burglar at a Dollar General just near Orlando.
While speaking with the deputies on the scene, the woman, reportedly told deputies that she called 9-1-1 to get help from police in moving the items from the home they had just robbed.
In addition, according to the Associated Press, the couple wanted a ride to the airport.
The male subject was charged with multiple felonies, the sheriff said, including burglary and theft. The woman was also arrested at the scene and charged with burglary.
