JACKSON COUNTY, Ohio — A school aide has been arrested in Wellston, accused of inappropriate behavior with children.
According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office. An area school aide has been arrested after allegations surfaced that he requested, shared, and viewed nude photographs with multiple youths, while employed at Christian Life Academy in Jackson.
Joseph K. Lewis, 48, of Wellston, was arrested on January 6 after an investigation into the case revealed evidence related to the allegations.
Deputies, the sheriff’s office said, conducted multiple interviews with students and staff.
Victims in the case say Lewis used text messaging, and social media to solicit and send nude photographs and videos.
A search warrant for Lewis’s computers, video gaming systems, social media accounts, and cell phone was requested.
Lewis is charged with disseminating material harmful to juveniles. Additional charges, officials said, could be forthcoming.
Lewis remains in custody at the Jackson County Jail.
