CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Thieves steal a truck and trailer from a Chillicothe car dealership.
It happened on Thursday at the Instant Auto Sales on North Bridge Street.
According to the police department, officers were dispatched to the dealership shortly before noon on a burglary complaint.
Upon arrival, officers stated that an employee of the business showed where the suspects entered the business by busting out a rear window. DVR used by the dealership’s surveillance system was also removed and stolen.
In addition, the thieves stole three sets of keys. “One key was for a 2014 Yukon XL, another for a 2012 Ford Expedition, and lastly one belonging to a Ford F250 which was parked at the rear of the property,” said investigators.
The Ford F250 and a BigTex 16ft wood bottom trailer attached to it were also stolen.
Blood, detectives said, was also found by the busted window. Officials say it will be submitted to the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations for DNA analysis.
Anyone with information on the theft is asked to contact the Chillicothe Police Department.
