The weather conditions have led to multiple accidents across the area and local authorities are urging drivers to exercise caution and give themselves extra time while on the roads.
Multiple counties have declared snow emergencies and the National Weather Service says a winter weather advisory for Vinton and Jackson counties remains in effect until 1 p.m.
