Carl F. Hedges, 86 of Stoutsville, OH passed away on Monday, February 6, 2023 at Lanfair Center in Lancaster, OH.
He was born on October 14, 1936 in Amanda Township, Fairfield County, OH.
He had retired from Amanda-Clearcreek Schools and had also worked at Stoutsville School as a custodian and was a lifelong farmer. He enjoyed working puzzles, playing cards and making apple butter.
He is preceded in death by his wife Janie E. (Haynes) Hedges in 2014; his parents Andy Martin and Mary Leona (VanFossen) Hedges; son-in-law Ron Chase; numerous brothers and sisters.
Carl is survived by daughters, Carla (Terry) Brill of Orient; Sharon Chase of Amanda and Susan (Daniel) Jordan II of Chillicothe; grandchildren Melina Sue, DJ (Brittney), Nicole (Michael), Austin and Andrew; great grandchildren Ryleigh, Gauge, Lyra, Amelia, Braxton, Paisley; sisters Dorothy (Larry) Bruning and Martha Fishbaugh; great friends Bruce Garrett and Rose French; numerous nieces and nephews.
A Private Graveside Service will be held on Friday, February 10th at Amanda Township Cemetery, Amanda, OH 43102.
