Dewayne Abe Logan, Sr, age 60 of Lucasville, went to meet his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, February 27, 2023 at Riverside United Methodist Hospital.
He was born on July 19, 1962, in Denver, Colorado to William Walter Logan of Missouri and the late Effie Conley Logan. Dewayne was united in marriage to the love of his life and soulmate, Donna Louise Eichenlaub on September 18, 1978.
Surviving are his children; Amber (Brett) Butler of McDermott, Heidi (Clint) White of Winchester, Dewayne Logan, Jr. of Otway and Darien (Hannah) Logan in the United States Air Force, stationed in Little Rock, Arkansas. Dewayne has 7 surviving grandchildren who were the light of his life; Kyle, Kory and Makenna Butler, Hunter Alana and Gage White and Davin Logan.
Dewayne has dedicated the last 30 years of his life as a Pastor and servant for the Lord. He had a passion for studying the Bible and sharing the gospel with everyone he met. Dewayne was a devout Ohio State Buckeye and Cincinnati Bengals fan, along with his Denver Broncos. You could find Dewayne on any given day rooting on one of his grandchildren at their ballgames. His family was his life, and he has been the biggest cheerleader for them. Dewayne was a truck driver for Rural King. He will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 5, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor William Journey officiating at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Otway. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
