CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Thieves have targeted the Ohio National Guard in Chillicothe, stealing military gear from within the armory. The incident was reported to the Ross County Sheriff’s Office on March 07, 2023, prompting deputies to respond to the Ross County Law Complex.
Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the complainant, who provided a list of the stolen gear. The case and complainant were referred to the Military Police for further investigation.
The Ohio National Guard is responsible for providing support to the United States military and law enforcement agencies, as well as responding to emergencies and natural disasters.
It is unclear at this time what specific gear was stolen or how the thieves gained access to the armory.
The Ross County Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone with information about the theft to come forward and assist with the investigation.
