ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — Pegasus Industries, LLC, a leading automotive supplier, and contract manufacturer, announced plans to expand its operations in Chillicothe, Ross County, in collaboration with JobsOhio, Ohio Southeast Economic Development (OhioSE), and Greater Chillicothe and Ross County Development.
The $2 million project will allow Pegasus to prepare an additional 200,000 square feet in the building it currently leases to expand its operations. The expansion will help Pegasus grow its role in the Kenworth supply chain and support Kenworth’s shift to alternative forms of propulsion.
“At Pegasus Industries, our customers, our employees, and our community are of the utmost importance to us,” said Brian Modrzynski, Pegasus Industries Vice President. Pegasus also provides employment opportunities for people working through substance abuse disorder, with more than 30 percent of its workforce representing second-chance employees.
JobsOhio supported the project with a $200,000 JobsOhio Economic Development Grant, and Ohio Southeast Economic Development assisted the company with the grant process. The Greater Chilthe Ross County Development Department is an assistant Opportunity Fund.
“We celebrate their continued success and appreciate their investment in our county,” said Tammy Eallonardo, Director of Greater Chillicothe & Ross County Development.
Pegasus Industries is in Kentucky and has operations in Chillicothe, Indiana, Texas, and Kentucky. It specializes in Class VII heavy-duty truck parts and is a second-chance employer.
“Pegasus Industries continues to grow because they react quickly to the needs of their customers,” said OhioSE President Mike Jacoby. “This project is yet another example of a great Ross County economic development win. There is tremendous growth in opportunity in the Chillicothe area.”
