HIGHLAND COUNTY, Ohio — The Hillsboro Police Department has released the identity of the man who was fatally shot on Saturday afternoon.
The victim has been identified as 53-year-old, John W. Norris.
According to officials, the Hillsboro Police Department received a 911 call on Saturday, March 11th, around 2:39 PM, from an apartment located at 801 Treewood Drive.
Officers arrived at the scene and discovered that Norris had been fatally shot.
The Hillsboro Police Department requested assistance from the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations, and the Highland County Prosecutor’s Office.
Investigators say a person of interest is in custody on unrelated charges. The individual’s name and motives in the shooting remain unclear.
