OHIO — Gas prices in Ohio have remained relatively stable amidst fluctuating prices across the country. According to the American Automobile Association (AAA), the national average for regular unleaded gas is $3.44 per gallon, while Ohio’s average is slightly lower at $3.29 per gallon.
In the Scioto Valley, Pickaway and Fayette counties currently have the lowest average fuel prices. This is welcome news for Ohioans who have experienced high gas prices in the past.
Just a year ago, Ohioans were paying an average of $4.02 per gallon, which is a significant increase from the current prices. The state also saw its highest gas prices in June of last year, with prices reaching a record-breaking $5.07 per gallon.
However, diesel fuel prices remain high in Ohio, with an average of $4.23 per gallon. This is a concern for industries that rely heavily on diesel fuel, such as transportation and agriculture.
Despite the stability of gas prices in Ohio, it’s important to note that prices can fluctuate rapidly due to various factors such as supply and demand, natural disasters, and political tensions. Overall, Ohio’s current gas prices are a relief for drivers who have faced high prices in the past. Hopefully, prices will continue to remain stable in the future.
