ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — Following up on an earlier report, the Ross County Sheriff’s Office has released a full incident report regarding a domestic dispute on Harris Station Road, Sunday, March 19.
Authorities were dispatched to the scene after a male resident claimed that his wife, Dee Dee Blackmon, had tried to stab him for having a beer. According to the victim, Blackmon retrieved a hunting knife from their gun safe and attacked him while he was in the shower, resulting in a cut above his eye.
Blackmon claimed that she acted in self-defense, stating that her husband was the aggressor in the situation. She alleged that he grabbed her, causing her to hit her head, and dragged her across the living room floor by her hair. Deputies did not believe her account of the incident and arrested her on charges of domestic violence and felonious assault. The knife used in the attack and the victim’s necklace were both located in the bathroom.
