ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — A pool of blood found near a bike path in Ross County prompted a call to the K9 units.
On March 16, the Ross County Sheriff’s Office received a report from a man who discovered the blood near the bike path located near Maple Grove Road and Anderson Station Road. Multiple deputies were dispatched to the scene to investigate, and they located the blood along with multiple small animal tracks nearby.
Upon arriving at the scene, K9 Xenia and her handler were called in to determine whether the blood was human. However, the dog did not indicate that the blood was from a human. No other evidence was found in the surrounding area suggesting that the blood was from a human.
After conducting a thorough investigation, deputies left the area. At this point, it is unclear where the blood came from or how it got there. The Ross County Sheriff’s Office has not released any further information on this incident.
