CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Police in Chillicothe responded to a call of a possible overdose this week after an 18-year-old man made a call to 911 after he got high on marijuana and thought he was dying.
The young man in question, police said, stated that he smoked marijuana out of a vape pen labeled “Train Wreck,” which caused him to feel like he was “going to die.”
The police were dispatched to the man’s house, where they found him curled up in the fetal position on the couch, looking quite distressed. He claimed that he felt like his heart rate was elevated and that he was experiencing severe anxiety. Chillicothe Fire/Medic arrived on the scene, and after checking his vitals, they determined that he was okay, reports state.
Despite being told that he was fine, police say the man still presented signs of paranoia from the marijuana use, such as heavy breathing, crying, and placing his arms above his head. The police officer asked him if he had someone who could look after him until he sobered up, and the 18-year-old stated that he would call his mother.
The vape pen was seized and placed into CPD evidence to be destroyed.
