ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — The Ross County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a potential threat against Kenworth by a former employee. According to reports, on April 3, Dispatch received a call from a Kenworth employee asking for a deputy to be present in the parking lot between 12:30 and 1:15 am on April 4. The request was made after the company terminated an employee who had made threats against Kenworth and its employees.
The HR department of Kenworth took the matter seriously and sought to have the individual trespassed from the property. The former employee had reportedly told his coworkers that he would “go postal” and “shoot up the place.”
The incident was investigated by the Ross County Sheriff’s Office, and the safety of the employees was the top priority, officials said. Due to no criminal charges being filed at this time, the sheriff’s office has withheld the subject’s name.
