CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Goodwill of South Central Ohio announced its call for applications to its Summer Youth Program, a five-week initiative aimed at helping young adults and teenagers learn valuable employment skills while working with job coaches at local businesses.
Participants in the program, who must be between the ages of 14 and 21 and reside in one of eight Ohio counties, will earn minimum wage and be provided with transportation to and from their job sites. The Summer Youth Program’s goal, a representative of Goodwill said, is to equip young people with the necessary skills to secure and maintain employment.
While the primary focus of the program is learning, some participants have been offered jobs at their work sites in previous years. The Summer Youth Program is set to run from June 12 to July 14.
Individuals or businesses interested in the program can contact Goodwill at 740-702-4000, extension 129, for more information.
