SCIOTO COUNTY, Ohio — Shawnee State University’s Vern Riffe Center for the Arts will be hosting a performance of “Madagascar, The Musical” on May 15, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. The Eloise Covert Smith Theater of the VRCFA will be the venue for the show.
The musical is based on the popular DreamWorks movie “Madagascar.” The story follows the journey of four friends – Alex the lion, Marty the zebra, Melman the giraffe, and Gloria the hippo – as they escape from the Central Park Zoo in New York City and venture into the wild world of King Julian’s Madagascar. The show features a lively score, outlandish characters, and exciting adventures that will appeal to all ages.
