ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — Ross County Humane Society in Ohio is getting closer to their goal of building a new animal shelter, but they still need $300,000 to make it a reality.

In a Facebook post, Executive Director Jenn T. informed followers that the society is working tirelessly behind the scenes while continuing to focus on caring for animals. To advance the project, a contractor was recently out drilling soil samples, and they are hopeful to soon reach the groundbreaking stage. The building, officials say, will be a “7,000 square foot facility with air quality, noise reduction, and enhanced disease control measures.”
