CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Jade Berry, a local business owner, is set to host a campaign kick-off event on Tuesday, April 18, from 7-8:30 p.m. at Rost Coffee, located at 107 East 2nd Street, in historic downtown Chillicothe. Berry, who is running as an Independent, hopes to unseat incumbent Democrat Luke Feeney in the upcoming mayoral election.
Organizers of the event have stated that the gathering aims to provide attendees with an opportunity to get to know the candidate, ask questions, and express their concerns about the future of Ohio’s First Capital. Community speakers will also be present to show their support for Berry’s campaign.
“Jade Berry is an excellent candidate for the position of Mayor in Chillicothe,” said one community advocate. “She is a dedicated business owner and community leader who is passionate about making Chillicothe a better place to live, work, and raise a family. We are confident that once people get to know her, they will be impressed by her vision for our city.”
The event will also feature light refreshments for attendees to enjoy while networking with other community members.
If elected, Berry would become the first African American female mayor in the city’s history.
“I think it’s time for a change,” said one local resident. “Jade has shown that she has the skills, experience, and dedication needed to lead our city forward. I’m excited to see what she can do.”
The campaign kick-off event is open to the public, and all members of the community are welcome to attend.
