CNN representatives confirmed the news, stating, “CNN and Don have parted ways.” This announcement comes shortly after Fox News revealed the departure of Tucker Carlson.
Lemon, who has had a 17-year career with CNN, has recently faced controversy over remarks made about women, which many considered to be sexist. In response to his dismissal, Lemon tweeted, “After 17 years at CNN, I would have thought that someone in management would have the decency to tell me directly.”
The network has not provided an official reason for Lemon’s departure at this time.
