ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — The Ross County Sheriff’s Office is grappling with a continued rise in crime, as several burglaries were reported across the county in the last 48 hours.
Deputies were dispatched to Falls Road after receiving reports of a garage break-in and a catalytic converter theft. On the same day, they were called to Seelig Lane, where a residence was reportedly broken into. After a thorough search of the home, deputies found no intruders and no signs of stolen items.
On Sunday, deputies responded to an active burglary on Route 138, where they observed a damaged door in the incident. Additionally, a motor vehicle was reported stolen in the area of Three Locks Road. Officials have not yet publicly confirmed whether the thefts and break-ins are related.
As property crimes persist at high levels in Ross County, violent crimes within the county are also on the rise, posing an ongoing challenge for local law enforcement.
