CHILLICOTHE, Ohio – The Ross County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a small child who was found wandering down a roadway near Chillicothe. According to reports, the incident happened on Cooks Hill Road at around 10 a.m. Thursday morning when a passerby, who was an an off-duty trooper, noticed the toddler following a dog.
Authorities were immediately notified and deputies arrived at the scene to locate the child and their parents. Medics were called in to evaluate the toddler’s condition, who was later reunited with their family.
The exact circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear and an investigation is ongoing. The Ross County Sheriff’s Office has not released any further information on the incident.
